Reading the Quran Was Meant to Feel Like Coming Home
For a lot of us, it stopped feeling that way.
Maybe a teacher was strict. Maybe there were too many rules too soon. Maybe you just felt like you had to be good before you were allowed to start.
So the Book that was meant to feel close began to feel far.
When recitation feels like a struggle, it puts a distance between your heart and the Book of Allah. So most people stop trying.
“The one who recites the Quran, although it is difficult for him, has double the reward.”
Sahih Bukhari & Muslim, struggle is not the issue. Treating it like a failure is.What Recitation Was Always Supposed to Feel Like
- ✓ Opening the Mushaf and reading with flow, without the voice in your head counting every mistake.
- ✓ Reciting in your own voice, at your own pace, and actually feeling good about it.
- ✓ Looking forward to your coach's feedback instead of dreading it.
- ✓ Feeling Tajweed slowly become second nature.
That is what learning looks like when the environment finally pulls you forward instead of holding you back. The question is: where can you find a place like that?
